Olympus µ [mju:] 1030 SW & µ [mju:] 850 SW :

نکته بارز و جالب در این دو دوربین بدنه ضد آب ، ضد ضربه و مقاوم در مقابل فشار در این دوربینهاست، بطوریکه µ 1030 تا عمق 10 متر ی آب مقاومت میکند ( برای مدت محدود ) و میتوان تا این عمق با آن عکاسی کرد. بعلاوه، بدنه ضد ضربه این دوربین سقوط از ارتفاع دو متری و نیز فشار تا یکصد کیلوگرم را تحمل میکند.( در مدل µ 850 SW این اعداد به 3 متر عمق آب و 1.5 متر ارتفاع تقلیل مییابند ). این دوربینها را براحتی میتوان در زیر شیر آب شست، با آنها غواصی کرد و یا در دمای 10- درجه بدون هیچ مشکلی از آنها استفاده کرد. µ 1030 ، همچنین دارای لنز وایدزوم 3.6 برابر معادل 102-28 م م. است که رنجی مناسب برای اکثر کاربریهای روزمره است در حالیکه لنز µ 850 ، بسته تر و مهادل 114-38 م م است. µ 1030 ده مگاپیکسلی و µ 850 هشت مگاپیکسلی میباشد. از دیکر تفاوتهای این دو، مونیتور 2.7 اینچی در مدل µ 1030 و 2.5 اینچی در مدل µ 850 است.

هردوی این دوربینها دارای قابلیت تشخیص چهره، تکنولوژی تنظیم سایه( Shadow Adjustment Technology ) و Bright Capture Technology هستند و به پردازشگر TruePic III مجهز میباشند. برای هر دو این دوربینها case زیر آب نیز وجود دارد که عکاسی تا عمق 40 متری را امکانپذیر میسازد.
